Special Ops..!
Event Overview
You will be given special training in weapons and tactics. Part of your aim is to manage your ammunition supplies. More success equals more ammo!
Your team will be required to crack codes and memorise secret intelligence which will be required during the final game which will culminate with defusing a bomb. If all goes to plan your team exits the building victorious, however should you fail there will be a loud bang!
Event Details
During the course of your basic training your team will partake in some of the following training programmes
1) Defend and Conquer
Designed to get the players used to the site and the weapons. All play is in the open - no buildings allowed.
Each team has a base with a flag. They must protect their flag and capture the enemy?s flag and return it to their base. Two flags at your base and the game is won.
2) Stockade
One team sets up a defensive position in a square area with a degree of cover. The opposition must kill everyone in the stockade and they can use the entire site, including buildings. The game is timed and the team that survives longest, wins.
3) The Storm Hut
A two tier game with attackers and defenders changing roles. One team is tasked with protecting a flag inside the building, while the attackers have 10 minutes to try and get the flag out. Their problem is that dead players inside the building do not show themselves but go to a safe room hence the attackers do not know how many of the opposition awaits inside if they choose to storm the building.
If neither side manages to get the flag out, the team losing the fewer players takes the points.
4) Charge up the Road
Play is confined to a channel running up the centre of the site only15-20m in width consisting of a road with a grassed area either side. Teams start at either end of the road and attempt to reach the flag at the opponents? end using the cover of the various obstacles available. To be effective they must work as a team and provide good cover fire for each player as the move forward.
5) El Presidente
A player from each side is elected President and fitted with the official robe of office - a fluorescent orange vest! Each team will then divide into two (or more) groups. One group will be bodyguards who must be prepared to take a bullet for their President whilst the other group will be assassins, intent on killing the opposition President.
To make life a little harder, Presidents cannot go to ground or hide in buildings but must actively move around the site.
Killing the opposing President wins the game. However, keeping your own President safe for a further five minutes will gain your team bonus points.
6) Strike Force
A lone Officer sits in his quarters reading some highly classified documents. Three Sentries are on guard at strategic lookout points outside. The remaining guards are all on standby in the guardhouse, a short sprint away. An evil group of attackers leave their hideaway. How close can they get to the secret documents before being spotted and all hell breaking loose?
Points scored for retrieving the documents and further points are gained for getting them safely back to the hideaway.
7) Hostage Rescue
Both teams have a hostage (marshal) that they must guard in a building. Both teams also wish to rescue the hostage that the opposition is holding.
Points scored for keeping your prisoner safe, rescuing the hostage from the enemy. Points lost for losing your hostage, killing a hostage etc.
8) Crossfire
One team sits in the Storm Hut. The other team is in the building opposite. A flag lies in no-man?s-land between them. All you have to do is get out of your building and get the flag back inside!
