Event Details
Small group (8-30 delegates):
This size group can either make their chocolates individually or in teams. The session will involve a brief talk about chocolate and a demonstration on moulding, making ganache and decorating lollies. Each individual or team will design their own chocolate – choosing the ingredients and the chocolate mould to create their own unique design. At least 2 chocolatiers will be on hand to help. At the end of the session there will be a fun competition with prizes for the winners.
Medium group (31–50 delegates):
This size group will design and make their chocolates in teams following the professional demonstration. The teams will work on challenges in order to get the necessary tools to make their chocolates (ingredients, moulds, packaging). There will be a professional chocolatier, and one helper per 15 people in the group. At the end of the session prizes are given for originality, flavour and presentation, plus a individual prize will be given for the best decorated lolly.
Large group size (51–100+ delegates):
This group size will again work in teams, designing and making chocolates. The group will work on a number of team oriented challenges in order to get the tools to make their chocolates, and to earn money for a ‘marketing fund’. There will be two professional chocolatiers, and one helper per 15 people to assist the teams. Ideally team building with a competitive edge will be a real feature of this large group, with each team required to do a 60-second presentation at the end of the session covering team name, motto, logo and marketing ‘pitch’. 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes will be awarded for originality, flavour and team presentations. In addition there will be a lolly making competition to add to the fun.
What is included?:
Professional chocolatiers and additional trained staff
All ingredients, equipment, aprons and packaging
Typical session:
A typical session will include a short talk about the history of chocolate and how chocolate is made from bean to bar. Delegates will be able to taste different types of chocolate before watching a short demonstration. After this everyone will take part in making their own chocolates, each taking home at least 20 unique artisan packaged chocolates.
